What A Wonderful World
Tigger and Pooh got a Twister game for Christmas!
Jimmie took a nap in my living room floor. So peaceful.
I fashioned a marvelous Tacky Christmas Sweater for Pooh to wear on the last day of school. Madre knitted this bad boy in the early 80’s. Papa used to wear it to work, and was the envy of all his peers. I added a few felt elves, and the ugliest of ugly Tacky Christmas Sweaters was born.
Tigger managed to add to her Pillow Pet collection…we now have introduced Dazzle the Glow Pet to the herd.
Tigger also rocked her new outfit from Goody’s (excluding boots) for a whole day before the cute owl top practically fell apart. It has a total of four holes in it, just from trying it on. Fail.
Coach and the girls spoiled me rotten for Christmas. A food dehydrator, a massage gift certificate, and I even got some boots from our wacky Christmas Elves, Elvis and Presley.
Daddy-O and JiJi visited after Christmas, and we spent the New Year with them. Daddy-O made me my VERY FAVORITE Christmas present, but it will get its own post soon….it’s that cool, and special, and priceless.
JiJi made cookies with the girls, and it really took me back. They are coloring the tea cake dough with food coloring, and the cookies are so pretty, not to mention delicious. I think JiJi got stuck with most of the work, but I’m positive Tigger ate most of the cookies. It always seems to work out that way…
How was your Christmas season? I hope it was magical, comfortable, fun, relaxing, and nostalgic. I think I had all of that, plus some other junk. I’m ready for 2014!
I’m pulling at the reigns to start 2014 off with a bang, but I’m not the only one. I live in an amazing community of caring, empathetic people who truly enjoy helping one another, and I’m so proud of that. I’m reminded every day, in so many ways, of what a wonderful place I call home, and I’m excited about the possibilities.
A local photographer, whom I’ve shared with you before here, is heading up a great campaign to boost small businesses in our area, and I’d love it if you would head on over to Facebook and like Ashley Chapman’s page, AOC Photography, if you haven’t already. I’m excited about her efforts, and the participation of so many other members of our community who want a little kick-start for the new year, and also genuinely want to help others get one, too! Ashley Oman Chapman, you are a social media marketing rockstar, and I appreciate you!
I’m giving away a Feel Better Bag in this little block party of hers, so do like her page and watch for more details!
I have some projects on the table…well, in my mind, anyway. Hopefully I will be posting regularly again, so stay tuned if you’d like to see these projects come together. Let’s have a wonderful January!
