School is Out; Summer is IN!
I’d like to tell you we have been waiting ages for our favorite summer activities, and that, now that school is out, Coach can finally go fishing every day.
I wish I could say that the girls can, at last, jump into that cold creek, 
and that Madre can finally jump on her horse and ride.
I should be saying that I am tired of waiting to park myself in a comfy chair on the creek bank and relax in the breeze.
The fact is, we did wait a long time. But as you can see, school or no school, we quit waiting a few weeks ago.

Martie! I share in your joy on the arrival of summer vacation! What a fun place to be! Horses and swimming! I’m sure you and your family will enjoy the much-deserved break….Ah, you remind me of how excited I used to feel when I finished school for the year!

It was always an exciting time here at Big Creek! I couldn’t wait to kick off my shoes on the last day of school, and not put them back on for two months!
