Instagram is my Hero
Yes, today is Wednesday, and you were expecting Waves on Wednesday, but I’m into a different kind of beauty today.
Who loves Instagram? I do, I do! Instagram is my hero, because with it, I can actually turn out a pretty decent photograph!
I’ve mentioned before how bad I am at taking pictures. I really wish this were not the case, but I just did not inherit Daddy-O’s talents when it comes to photography. I’m a ‘point and click’ girl at heart, just trying to preserve a memory of a moment. Back in the day, as I mentioned before, I took a lot of close-ups of my finger (I still do, but I can delete them immediately now), and thereby wasted a ton of money on photo development. The digital age was made for fools like me, to help me get through life without making an ass of myself.
I’m going to share some of my favorite Instagram photos with you today, just because I’m so proud that I took these pics! Here is a gallery of some Deep South favorites.

These are some of my favorite pictures. I actually had some of these made into magnets (I used a company online, but it seems to be out-of-business, gone kaput). Just yesterday, I saw the coolest idea for making your own Instagram magnets on one of the blogs that I follow, Wit & Wander. Megan, the blog’s author, has lots of great ideas up her sleeve, and some great posts about things to do on date nights in Dallas, TX. You should check her out! Her DIY Instagram magnets are so awesome, and I’m inspired to make some myself…if only I had the time!
If you haven’t discovered Instagram yet, you really should go try it out. It’s an app for your phone, and not very functional on a computer, but who takes pictures with a laptop? Sure, Instagram is great for being social, keeping up with family who live far away, or even as a marketing tool (one of my favorites, I might add). But for me, first and foremost, it’s an amazing photo editing app that takes my pics from “eh”, to “Ooooh, ahhh!” Just give it a whirl…you’ll love it!
