Craft Room Makeover | A Dreamy Workspace
Craft Room Makeover | A Dreamy Workspace
I thought I would share my craft room makeover, because I’m super excited about it this amazing sunroom remodel! I know it’s going to make for a dreamy workspace for me, and I can hardly wait to see the completed project. I’m most looking forward to having sunroom windows that open, so I can work with fresh air coming in!
Today is the first ‘business day’ of my new employment status! I am now officially a Work at Home Mom. This is exciting and terrifying all at the same time! I’m so accustomed to having a steady cash flow, since every day was a pay day in the salon…not having that will take some getting used to, I’m sure. The upsides are obvious: spending more time with my family, not being covered in hair, and fewer aches and pains are just the first few that come to mind.
Sunroom Remodeling
I have plans today, and every day this week. I actually have a couple of orders to fill, and will hopefully have those delivered by Friday (yay for a payday!), but today I’m giving my sunroom/craft space/office another good overhaul. I need a dreamy workspace! You may remember these posts: Craft Room Makeover: Before and Craft Room Makeover: After. Well, that sunroom has been made over…and over…and over, so now I actually get to organize it for the last time! It is now where I will spend the good majority of my time, so I want to make sure it’s a space that I feel at home and cozy in, but that inspires and motivates me, as well.
First, I’ll give you a photo-recap of the changes the sun room (a.k.a. my craft room/office) has endured since we moved here.
The improvements that have been done to this room made it my favorite space in the house! It’s warm, inviting, and full of natural light. I love to work in here! I think working in the cramped hallway for a while really helped me appreciate this room even more. You can check out this post for the whole sunroom remodeling experience, complete with new rugs!
Craft Room Decorating
Today I’m planning to hang some pictures back up in the sunroom, which will make it feel more finished to me. Nothing makes a craft room makeover complete like wall art! I’m going to add some little touches around my work area that will keep me organized, along with some things that make me smile. I know just where to look!
One of my favorite blogs to read, Wit & Wander, has free printables all the time, and they’re always so cute! Sure enough, I found a whole post that has links to several other blogs with free printables, plus a free monthly calendar printable from Megan, herself. I’m going to go check them all out today, especially the budget binder, the to-do list, and the master goals plan. I also want to print her beautiful scripture cards, which can also be downloaded and used as screen-savers on your phone! Wit & Wander is like a one-stop shop for organization and motivation! She’s a fellow Etsy seller, as well (click here), selling instant downloads of her beautiful design work. Thanks, Megan!!
I’ll be sure to share my progress on my new craft room makeover very soon! I have so many plans and dreams for this new business venture, and I believe that having sunroom windows that open is the best way to begin! Now that the beautiful sunroom has been transformed into ‘ours’, and doesn’t leak or smell like mildew, I have the dreamiest office anyone could ask for!
