A Beautiful June Bride (who might win the prize revealed in this post!)
A couple of weeks ago I posted my first wedding work story, and I showed off the hair of the sister of the bride.
You may recall me mentioning that this sister had a wedding of her own in June. This gorgeous bride just had to have a feature in this little series of weddings that I’m sharing!
I didn’t get her love story until we were primping for her little sister’s wedding, but it was such a cute story! He saw her for the first time on the college campus, near a gazebo, and knew she was the one for him. It seems she needed a little…or a lot…more convincing! He really chased this girl, folks. She even so much as told him, “you’re just not my type”, and he could not be deterred. So, she finally relented and went on a date with him, only to find him to be exactly what she was looking for. Seven years later, they married in front of that same gazebo, and have embarked on a new and exciting life.
Isn’t it funny how sometimes our first impressions are just dead-on, and sometimes they are just WHACK?
Lucky for me, she hired me for airbrush makeup on the big day. I also got to provide hair and makeup services for her beautiful Mom, and makeup for her gorgeous sister. It wasn’t hard to make this family look flawless, with my trusty Temptu airbrush system.
And while we’re at it, let me just say that little sis?
I didn’t share much of her love story, but I know it is awesome. I know she is now married to a super -duper guy, and he is married to a super-duper girl. I will always hold a special place in my heart for these sisters, because they added to my summer by being the poster kids for “Clients I’d Love To Work With”. And this super-duper guy who married little sis in August? He was like a knight in shining armor on this June wedding day. He ran for drinks, hose, tissues, anything that was essential. He carried stuff, up and down the stairs, all day. He smiled, laughed and cut up with all the ladies, and just didn’t mind hanging around in case anyone needed anything. I knew in June that the August wedding would be just as well-received as this one.
What about these amazing photos?
Ashley Oman Chapman of AOC Photography is the girl behind the lens. This girl is fun to work with, super creative, and is extremely talented at photography. We always seem to miss each other at weddings, except for maybe a quick hello in passing, as her job doesn’t start until mine is over. But I have seen enough of her work and heard enough praise from her clients to know she rocks! If you are looking for a photographer, she is your girl. Visit her here!
It’s time for the big reveal. After today, I will have two more 2013 brides to showcase, and then the games begin. One lucky bride will win this cute travel makeup brush set from Sephora! And one lucky reader, and VOTER (details to come), will win this sweet eyeliner decal, also from Sephora! Stay tuned…you could be the lucky winner!
